Welcome to the Medieval Japan, circa 1560 AD. This is a land organized for one endeavor: warfare. The realm is divided between numerous powerful daimyo, or feudal lords, who vie with each other to expand their power, to ultimately rise to become Shogun of all Japan. Shogunate is a strategic-level wargame, where players rule historical kingdoms, leading their armies of armored warriors. To remain on your throne and expand your dominions, you will need to employ well-planned tactics, clever scheming, and ruthless determination. This game is provided as a complementary service to the web gaming community - all who enjoy wargames are welcome to join!





To view your realm and issue orders, you use the Diploware, which is a software program you download here. When you install the Diploware, the Rulebook will also be installed (be sure to browse through this, which is available from your Windows Start Menu). The Diploware (download size: 7 MB) is for PCs with any version of Windows (Win XP, Win98, Win95, NT or Win2000).
